Working with John

the methods John uses to create your marketing winners

The Goal: Get Your Message Right

In all probability, you have a product that requires a complex sale. Someone on your sales team has get on the phone for a half an hour or more to describe what it is and how it all works. This is the perfect situation for a well-written white paper. You will be able to get your story out to more people faster and save money to boot.

Today, you probably use your website to generate leads, attract subscribers or get sales. If so, then you know how important it is that your sales pages work effectively. If the marketing copy on those pages doesn’t persuade enough visitors to click and respond, you lose opportunities… without even knowing it… and often to the competition.

Here’s How We’re Going To Do It

First, we discuss your project, goals, and objective. I listen to you and get clear on your vision of the final project. I may also ask to speak with one or two of your sales people; those who deal with your target audience on a daily basis. Any information you want to share at this point will be appreciated

Once we agree on the scope of the project, I take a couple of days to write up a proposal for your project. This will include a fixed-fee quote as well as a plan of action and milestones for accomplishing your project. If you agree, I go to work.

The draft will be delivered as a Microsoft Word document. It will have important parts of your message emphasized and highlighted. Often, suggestions for possible graphics elements will be included.

Most of the time my clients are happy with the copy as delivered. However, if you you need revisions to the draft, I complete these promptly and at no additional charge. I do ask that revisions are requested within 30 days and do not change the scope of the project.

When the art-work is finished you send a PDF so I can review and make sure the intended message is communicated clearly. Although you are responsible for the final checking of all copy, design, and production elements, I do like to work with your design team to ensure your message has the most impact and persuasive power we can put into it.
